We’re always excited to see the wonderful restaurants participating in DFW Restaurant Week 2026, especially those offering a special Signature Experience menu. This year, we were thrilled to visit EBESU Robata & Sushi in Plano for the first time—and it certainly did not disappoint! We tried both the 6-course Signature Experience and the 4-course menu, which gave our family the opportunity to taste and compare quite a few dishes. Among the three appetizers, we all agreed that the Tuna Tataki Salad was the winner. The beautifully pan-seared tuna paired with fresh greens and a Japanese-style dressing was light, refreshing, and delicious. For the second course, our vote went to the Grilled Scallop. The Signature Experience was especially memorable. The Sashimi Petite was wonderfully fresh, just as we had hoped, while the A5 Wagyu served on a hot rock was incredibly tender and simply melted in your mouth. Another unexpected favorite was the Bara Chirashi Don. The combination of assorted pieces of fresh fish, mushrooms, sliced lotus root, cubed tamago, and ikura created wonderful layers of flavor and texture. We have been here 10 plus times, and out of the many sushi places we have tried over the years I can say with confidence this is the most authentic Japanese sushi you will find in dallas. The owner is from Japan and you can tell everything is done with precision and excellence. The flavors are amazing, the fish is fresh, and everything is not covered in sauce, but instead carefully curated. Service is great and the restaurant has a calm and updated fresh ambiance. In the bathrooms are sparkling clean. This is our go-to weekly date night! It's definitely worth the price!!!

I had a great experience here! One of the best parts is their weekday evening Happy Hour—they offer a huge variety of menu items, so you can enjoy a lot of different dishes at a really good price. Overall, most of the food was excellent. My personal favorite was the Chirashi Don. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the lotus root was a highlight—it had that perfect crunch with a slight pickled flavor. The Yakitori was impressively tender with a delicious sauce, and the Agedashi Tofu sauce was perfectly balanced and not too salty. The only thing that didn't quite hit the spot was the Cowboy Roll. Since it’s a steak roll, I expected a savory, meaty flavor, but it had a very strong Southeast Asian spice profile. I love all kinds of Asian food, but it was just unexpected given the name. When our server came to clear the plates, we mentioned that the flavor wasn't what we had anticipated. Even though most of the roll was still there, we told them they could just take it away, but they were kind enough to take it off our bill. I felt bad but was so grateful for the professional and thoughtful service.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ebesu! We ordered miso soup, pork gyoza, tuna flatbread, and a variety of sushi. Everything was phenomenal! The sushi melted in your mouth. The tuna flatbread was my favorite - so yummy. The staff were all very friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be back!

Awesome service, lovely ambiance, and fantastic food! We tried quite a few items: -Matcha old fashioned -Hamachi crudo -BBQ pork ribs -Karaage -Brussels sprouts with walnuts and golden raisins -Pork belly and pork jowl from the grill -Assorted tempura -Tuna bowl and roll -Spicy poke bowl -Duck udon Everything was amazing. This place is hands down the best real deal Japanese I have found in DFW (easily comparable to any of my favorites in SoCal). I would come back here in a heartbeat to try the rest of the menu!
